About Us

Welcome to the Public Works Agency's Contract Administration Division. This site will provide you with a link to the current Public Works construction and professional services opportunities. These opportunities include Notice Inviting Bids (NIB's), Requests for Proposals (RFP's), and Requests for Qualifications (RFQ's).

• If you are interested in any of the opportunities listed, contact the Public Works Agency, Contract Administration Division. The office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 - 4:30 pm.

Mailing List

• The City of Oakland Public Works Agency wants to make sure that your company has a chance to receive proposed contracting opportunities. The Contract Administration Division maintains a mailing list used to notify appropriate contractors and consultant organizations of upcoming bid openings for Public Works projects.
• If you do not currently receive the Notice Inviting Bids or Request for Proposals, register your company with the Public Works Agency by printing and returning (by mail or fax) the Construction Services Profile or Professional Services Profile . You will be added to the mailing list according to the licenses and specialties you indicate on your form.
• Any response which is illegible or incomplete will be discarded and, therefore, not be included on the mailing list. Questions should be directed to the Public Works Agency, Contract Administration Division.

Bid Openings

• The Office of the City Clerk , at One Frank Ogawa Plaza, conducts formal bid openings on Mondays at 2:00 pm on the first floor of City Hall.
• Informal bid openings are conducted Tuesday through Friday at 2:00 pm at the Customer Service Counter in the Contract Administration office.
